If you hear sound from only one side of your ViSound™ Open, don't worry — this is usually just a pairing desynchronization between the earbuds. It's easy to fix.
Step 1 — Reset both earbuds
- Take both earbuds out of the case and make sure they're powered on.
- On each earbud individually, double-tap the speaker pod, then immediately press and hold for 2 seconds.
- Both earbuds will power off — the reset is complete.
- Put them back in the case for a moment, then take them out again to power them on in pairing mode.
Step 2 — Forget and re-pair
- On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings.
- Tap "Forget" or "Unpair" next to YYK-Q16.
- With the earbuds powered on and in pairing mode, search for "YYK-Q16" in your Bluetooth list and reconnect.
Both earbuds should now play audio.
Using one earbud on purpose
ViSound™ Open supports mono mode — you can intentionally use just the left or right earbud on its own. This is useful when:
- You want to stay aware of your surroundings on one side
- You're in a meeting and want one ear completely free
- You're sharing one earbud with someone
Simply take one earbud out of the case and leave the other inside. The active earbud will connect and play audio by itself.
Still only hearing one side?
- Make sure both earbuds are charged (place them in the case for 15 minutes).
- Check that the silent earbud's speaker pod isn't blocked by debris.
- Try the reset process one more time.
