The earbuds are not charging — what should I check?

If your ViSound™ Hush earbuds don’t seem to charge inside the case, it’s almost always a quick contact or power issue.


Step 1 — Make sure the earbuds are properly seated

  • Place both earbuds in the case and confirm each one sits correctly on the magnetic charging pins.
  • You should feel a slight magnetic pull when they’re in the right position.
  • Check that nothing is blocking the contact points (dust, debris, lint).

Step 2 — Check the case battery

  • Close and reopen the case. Does the LED display show a number?
  • If the display is blank, the case itself needs charging. Plug it in with the USB-C cable for at least 30 minutes, then try again.

Step 3 — Clean the contacts

  • Use a dry cotton swab to gently wipe the metal charging pins inside the case.
  • Do the same on the contact points on each earbud.
  • Even a thin layer of skin oil or dust can interfere with charging.

Step 4 — Try a different cable or power source

  • Test with another USB-C cable to rule out a faulty cable.
  • Plug into a wall adapter instead of a laptop USB port for more consistent power.
