Ease uses a small light on each earbud and a two-digit display on the front of the case. Here's how to read them.
Earbuds
| Light | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Orange and white flashing alternately | Pairing mode — the earbuds are linking to each other and waiting for your phone |
| No light (out of the case) | Connected and working — this is normal |
| White steady (in the case) | Charging |
| No light (in the case) | Fully charged — or not seated on the contacts. If it never lit up, re-seat it and see our charging article |
| White flashes once, then off | Powered off |
Charging case display
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A number from 0 to 99 | The case's battery level — 99 is full |
| Last digit flashing (cable plugged in) | The case is charging |
| Last digit flashing (no cable) | The case battery is low — recharge soon |
| Number steady with the earbuds inside | The case is charging the earbuds |
Sounds
| Sound | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "Power on" / "Connected" | Normal start-up |
| Double beep in the ear | That earbud's battery is low |
No lights at all?
No light on the earbuds while you're wearing them is normal — the light turns off once they're connected. If the case display is blank, the case is probably drained: plug it in with the included cable and a standard 5V charger for 30 minutes, then try again.
