At normal listening levels, no — people around you won't hear your music.
How it works
Even though ViSound™ Open doesn't seal your ear canal, the speaker pod is designed to direct sound toward your ear, not outward. The audio is focused on a narrow path between the speaker and your ear opening — minimizing sound leak in every other direction.
At normal volume
- Coworkers, family, and people next to you won't hear what you're listening to
- Suitable for open offices, libraries, public transport, and shared spaces
- The person right next to you might catch a very faint hint of audio if the room is silent — but it's far quieter than what most open-ear and bone conduction designs leak
At very high volume
If you push the volume to maximum, some sound will be audible to people very close to you. This is true of any earbud design, but more noticeable with open-ear technology.
For shared spaces (office, library, coffee shop), we recommend keeping the volume at moderate levels — which still sounds great and keeps your audio private.
Tips
- Most users find that 60–75% volume is plenty for typical listening — and is whisper-quiet to others.
- If you're worried about privacy in a specific situation, take a quick test with a friend before relying on it.
